Resources

The Resources section contains any practical information which may be useful to the participating bands and individual pipers and drummers.

For the moment, we have added the piping partitions and drum scores.

We are not asking bands to change their settings for the massed band tunes. To misquote Messrs Morecombe and Wise, as long as we all play the same notes, preferably in the same order and at the same time, we we will be winning !

We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to our friends from the Huntly and District Pipe Band, who chose the massed band tunes and provided the partitions.

Piping partitions

The piping resources contain the massed band tunes in the following formats: .jpg, .pdf, .wav and .abc. The first two do not require any explanation. The .wav format can be pjlayed back in a video viewer such as VLC. The .abc format can be viewed in the "bagpipe" application, available free of charge here.

Drumming scores

The drumming scores are available for snare drum and, partially for tenor and bass drum. Once again, we don't expect anyone to change their beatings for the purposes of United Pipers for Peace Manchester 2022. As long as the beatings are roughly compatible, everything should go to plan. You will find standard beatings for 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/9 and 9/8 in script and video formats.

Downloads

You can go to the Piping or Drumming pages to download individual scores, partitions and videos or, if you prefer, you can download all the piping resources here and the drumming resources here.
